Simulated Signatures of Greenland Melting in the North Atlantic: A Model Comparison With Argo Floats, Satellite Observations, and Ocean Reanalysis

چکیده
Increased Greenland ice sheet melting has an impact on global mean and regional sea level rise the ocean circulation. In this study, we explore whether signatures found in model simulations are visible observations from radar altimetry, satellite gravimetry Argo floats. We have included freshwater flux (GF) Finite-Element-Sea ice-Ocean Model (FESOM) for years 1993–2016. The reference run is computed by excluding input. These experiments performed a low resolution (ca. 24 km) high 6 eddy-permitting mesh. For comparison with experiments, use different observational data, such as floats, observations, reanalyses. find that surface GF maps into temperature salinity down to about 100 m surroundings of Greenland. simulated particularly steric heights Baffin Bay Davis Strait. Here, improvement square error up 30% when including GF. However, increased often causes larger improvements than occur due effect.

supervisors play an undeniable role in training teachers, before starting their professional experience by preparing them, at the initial years of their teaching by checking their work within the proper framework, and later on during their teaching by assessing their progress. but surprisingly, exploring their attributes, professional demands, and qualifications has remained a neglected theme i...

متن کاملTowards closure of regional heat budgets in the North Atlantic using Argo floats and surface flux datasets
The upper ocean heat budget (0–300 m) of the North Atlantic from 20–60 N is investigated using data from Argo profiling floats for 1999–2005 and the NCEP/NCAR and NOC surface flux datasets. Estimates of the different terms in the budget (heat storage, advection, diffusion and surface exchange) are obtained using the methodology developed by Hadfield et al. (2007a, b). The method includes optima...
متن کاملNortheast Atlantic and North Sea storminess as simulated by a regional climate model 1958-2001 and comparison with observations
An analysis of the storm climate of the Northeast Atlantic and the North Sea as simulated by a regional climate model for the past 44 years is presented. The model simulates the period 1958-2001 driven by the National Center for Environmental Prediction’s (NCEP’s) weather re-analysis. Comparison with observations shows that the model is capable of reproducing impact related storm indices such a...
